What is it?
Mulkko is a turn-based puzzle where you push channel blocks, Sokoban style, to lead water from a spring to rice paddies. Blocks can be pushed but never pulled, so the order of your pushes is the whole puzzle.
Step on the sluice lever and the water starts to flow, one tile for every move you make. An open channel end leaks, so slot in the right shape before the water gets there. Blue arrows show where the water reaches next turn.
Play 8 solo levels, or 5 co-op levels for two players on one keyboard. In co-op you line up to push heavy blocks together and hold a pressure plate to let water through a gate. No sign-in, no install.
How to play
- Move with the arrow keys or WASD. Channel blocks can be pushed but not pulled. On a phone, swipe the board or use the direction pad.
- Fill each gap with a channel of the right shape. Straight, bent and T channels have fixed openings and cannot be rotated.
- Step on the sluice lever to start the water. From then on it advances one tile per move; press Space to wait in place.
- In two-player mode, P1 uses WASD and Q, P2 uses the arrow keys and Enter. After the gate opens, each player moves once per round, and the water advances when both have moved.
Good to know
- Blue arrows mark where the water arrives next turn; red arrows mark where it will leak if you leave it.
- A slotted channel blocks your way, and a channel with water in it can no longer be pushed. Leave a path to the lever, or open it first and race the water.
- Press Z to undo one move at a time, as often as you like. Waiting does not count as a move, so aim to clear within par for three stars.
