All I wanted was to play
There is a little time to spare. A quick game sounds nice. But first comes a download, an account, an update. Is the CPU fast enough? What about the GPU, RAM and free disk space? Before long, the preparations feel bigger than the urge to play.
What were we looking forward to?
Is something only a game after a complicated installation and a demanding hardware check? Beautiful graphics and enormous worlds can be wonderful. Still, I do not think the heart of a game can be measured by the price of a computer or the size of a download.
The feeling of one more try
We can play on a board drawn on paper or with a tiny puzzle. A narrow escape, a better score, a laugh shared with a stranger: these small, vivid moments are what bring us back for another round.
Honestly, these games fall short
GameNow is made by one developer. Compared with AAA games built by large teams with substantial time and budgets, the graphics, presentation, amount of content and polish are noticeably poorer. There are rough edges and bugs I have not fixed yet. I do not want to hide that gap or pretend the work is on the same level.
Why put them out into the world?
Because I believe a game does not have to be huge or perfect to make someone happy. A little puzzle can brighten a break. A short match can become a good moment in the day. I want to try making that kind of modest fun.
For fellow humans, everywhere
One lovely thing about games is that people from different countries, speaking different languages, can still play by the same rules. I hope someone far away opens a small game I made and enjoys a moment with it. That is why I am lowering the installation barrier, opening the door in more languages and building a playground in the browser.
Come in lightly
Not every game runs perfectly on every device. The 3D games still need capable hardware. But I will keep making it easier to start and find something you enjoy. Rather than promise an extraordinary experience, I would like to share one small piece of joy today. Shall we play?
